A Special Thank You From Our Holiday Lights Organizers

Hi Everyone,

Our incredible Holiday Lights Organizers, Carmen & Dave Bubar and Linda & Randy Russell, who did such a wonderful job bringing the holiday spirit to Spinnaker Bay this year would like to share a message with the Community:

"Holiday Lights is a great social event for the neighborhood, a chance to catch up with those neighbors you might not have seen lately, or to meet new neighbors. It is one of the things that make Spinnaker Bay so special.

Due to the current COVID-19 conditions, this season, we could not perform the Holiday Lights installation and removal as we would normally do. In order to maintain a safe environment for everybody, we scaled back the volunteer effort considerably. We had about 30 volunteers for the installation and everybody worked in small teams. For the recent removal activity, we had about 20 volunteers and even smaller teams. We did not gather for food and socialization at either event.

We have been approached by several neighbors asking why they did not receive a flyer this year to participate or asking when we were going to remove the lights. We just could not do it that way this year. We appreciate all the neighbors that have volunteered in the past and that wanted to participate this year. And we want you all back! Hopefully by November 2021 we can operate as we have in previous years.

We would like to thank all that were involved in the installation and takedown of the Holiday Lights this year. Due to the conversion to LED lights, there were changes in the install/removal procedures and you all were a great help in switching over.

We’d also like to thank the Spinnaker Bay HOA and the Boat Slip HOA for their continued support of the Holiday Lights.
