The Board of Directors of the Spinnaker Bay Homeowners Association would like to invite you to virtually attend our monthly Board meeting for the month of January. Due to the pandemic, monthly meetings are currently being held online and conducted using Zoom.
For those unfamiliar with Zoom, it's basically a conference call with video that allows large groups of people to meet together online, virtually. It provides users the option to turn their cameras on or off, depending on whether or not they want to be seen. The best part is, all you have to do to attend is click on the link that will be provided below.
The monthly Board Meetings consist of two parts (sessions) and are conducted in a format similar to City Council meetings:
1) A Closed (Executive) Session;
Only Board Members are able to attend.
Board members discuss items such as contract proposals and bids, Rules & Regulations and CC&R violations, delinquent accounts/collections and Architectural Review Committee Reports.
By Statute, Members/Residents are unable to attend due to the confidential nature of the topics discussed.
2) A Regular (Open) Session:
By statute, all Members/Residents are welcome to attend and observe the Board conduct business.
Items may include the approval or disapproval of contracts/bids by vote, review of the the landscape report provided by our landscaping company, review of the financial report provided by our Treasurer and the introduction of new orders of business, including planned and on-going projects in the community.
Inviting Comments: Although statutes and regulations do not allow Members/Residents to participate in Board discussions, the President can invite comments from the audience on particular items of business if they so choose. This is at the discretion of the Board. Once comments have been received, the discussion can be closed and a vote taken by the Directors. The Board may also choose to table the matter for a later date.
This month's meeting will take place on Tuesday, January 26th. The Regular (Open) Session is preceded by the Closed (Executive) Session. As the number of items discussed in the Closed Session can vary, so can the start time of the Open Session.
How To Attend:
On Tuesday at 4:15pm, click on the "January 2021 HOA Board Meeting" link below and follow the prompts. At that time, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room. Once the Closed Session ends, you will be let into the Open Session portion of the meeting by the meeting administrator.
If you have never used Zoom or are unfamiliar with the process, it is still easy to join by clicking the "New to Zoom" link below. This will allow you to join the meeting using your web browser. Just enter your name, follow the prompts and enter the meeting Passcode: 678570.
