Positions Now Available For The ARC, Landscape Committee, Welcome Committee & Events Committee

Hello Neighbors,

The Spinnaker Bay HOA, Board of Directors is happy to announce that they now have openings on all of their committees, and would like to invite you to apply! While you may already be familiar with our Architectural Review Committee and Landscape Committee, at the last meeting, the Board voted to approve and create two new ones: the Welcome Committee and the Events Committee. While the the full scope of the responsibilities of these new Committees are still being fleshed out, the details below are the idea and intent behind each:

Welcome Committee

• Purpose: to greet and extend a warm welcome to new neighbors on behalf of our community.

• Responsibilities will include:

• Creation of an informational notebook for new Homeowners.

• Putting together a small welcome basket (to be funded by The HOA).

• Greeting our neighbors with these fun little treats.

• Introducing our new neighbors to some of the social aspects of our community.

Events Committee

• Purpose: to bring awareness to the social aspects of our community and give neighbors the opportunity to participate and get to know one another.

• Responsibilities will include:

• Proposing and organizing some exciting new events for our community and reviving some of the old ones!

• Duffy activities

• Wine tastings

• Bocce ball tournaments

• Holiday celebrations

• Happy hour gatherings on the greens

• Group bike rides and walks

• Kayaking and standup paddle boarding groups

• Etc,

• Upon approval by the Board, these activities would then be posted to the website in a new "Events" section.

Some members of this committee may want to be more involved in organizing while others may be more interested in passing along information about events that are open to the community. There is no obligation to contribute more than you are able. At this time, there is no limit to the number of members for this committee.

As life slowly begins to open back up, many of us are looking forward to getting back together with old friends and neighbors, and getting a chance to know some new ones. This will be a great opportunity to foster our friendships and community spirit.

If you think you may be interested in joining any of our committees, please email Ashley Boardman (aboardman@mylordon.com) and CC the Board of Directors (spinnakerbayupdates@gmail.com)by Monday, May 17th with your name, the committee you would like to join, and any other information about yourself that you would like to share with with the Board of Directors.

The Board will be discussing all the applications they receive during the Executive Session of their next monthly meeting on May 25th. They will then set up a time to speak with each of you and are hopeful to be able to make decisions and appoint members to all the committees at their June monthly meeting.
